Across history, cultures identified patterns of imbalance and pathways to restore health by observing the body, its rhythms, and its relationship to the environment. Long before the language of modern medicine, these practices recognised links between physical states, emotional experiences, and the wider cosmos. Today, advances in genetics, epigenetics, and neurobiology reveal the same truth through a different lens: the body stores memory, adapts under pressure, and communicates through complex cellular and energetic networks. For me, this is where science and tradition meet—both honouring the body’s capacity for intelligence and adaptation.
My approach to bodywork is entirely focused on helping you understand with conscious connection the mechanics to your unique body. Like a recipe, outcomes are absolutely assured when you do actions that lead to results. The effectiveness however lies in your devotion and trust with your own self; physically, emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually.
It can be likened to mental health; you can read all the affirmations and listen to all the meditations and not have any positive results if you still think negatively and do not truly believe and trust and have a willingness to receive change. It does not work to see shit, call it a cupcake, eat it and tell me it's a sweet treat. Unfortunately for you, and me, shit is shit.
In this way bodywork is beautifully simple. The body experiences and adapts. The story of your life is literally imprinted on a physical level. What we discuss in session is something that no longer is nurtured by communities at scale. Sessions with me a spaces of radical honesty.
Relief is not something I deliver, but something I participate in alongside the person I’m working with; think of it this way, I could give you a 30 minute relaxation massage, wash your hair, oil your body in the most delicious scents, and have you laid out on the most delightful table with soft blankets and you will not feel relief or relaxation if you are anxious the whole time – your body is rejecting external and internal stimulants designed for co-regulation and the nervous system is firing off hormones in a flight/flight reaction.
My role is to bring presence, curiosity, and technique in order to support your body’s natural processes of repair and reorganisation. The sessions are never the same and always discovery. I am learning about your body 2, 13, 20, 35, 50+ years into its journey of experiencing life - that is lot of decoding and understanding especially if you are disconnected from yourself and your own beingness.
What I know is this: the body doesn’t lie. It records, it remembers, and it asks for your attention in ways the mind cannot. My practice is a devotion to listening, translating, and restoring trust between you and your body. When that connection is alive, change is inevitable.
